BATMAN/SUPERMAN #13     DC COMICS Joshua Williamson’s story continues to build interest. The AI suspected of being Brainiac is a pleasant surprize (Spoiler!) as it isn’t Brainiac! The overall concept is good but in all honesty has been done before. Can anyone say OMAC? But putting that off to the side, the interaction between the … Read more

DARK KNIGHTS DEATH METAL MULTIVERSE’S END #1     DC COMICS Another of the seemingly endless tie ins to the Dark Knights storyline. However this one offers up a bit of charm and ingenuity that spotlights wiriter James Tynion IV’s talents. It also highlights artist Juan Gedeon’s versatility as he has to flip-flop between facial close … Read more

METAL MEN #10     DC COMICS All these years of reading and reviewing comics have taught me certain telltale signs of where a storyline is going. And unfortunately, most times that leads to a bad place. So I have to give credit to the talented crew on the Metal Men title for surprizing me! Instead … Read more

RISE OF ULTRAMAN #1     MARVEL COMICS This book has a little bit of everything for the Ultraman fan. Writers Kyle Higgins and Mat Groom obviously did their homework in researching the 1966 original series. And trust me cause I was watching it on a static-filled Channel 50 (or was it Channel 44 or Channel … Read more
