Chicagoland based charity Comic Books for Kids is once again collecting donations to support their ongoing mission of brightening the lives of sick children around the world, with the special support of Graham Crackers Comics on the weekend of March 1st – 3rd.
All that weekend, you can bring unwanted comics suitable for donation to CB4K to any Graham Crackers Comics store, and we’ll do the legwork of getting them to Mark at CB4K. Monetary donations can also be dropped off. Please make donations out to “Comic Books For Kids.”
Mark Weiss started Comic Books For Kids! to make a difference for these kids in hospitals. While we cant address the physiological reasons the children are in a hospital, we can help with their mental well being and have heard multiple times how this does help. When children are undergoing medical care and have a comic book, graphic novel, or other fun item, they can fight super heroes, fly on a dragon, be a prince or princess and anything that takes their imagination to places away from the hospital. With a comic book they can be a kid again, and Graham Crackers Comics is happy to help!
