Recently Graham Crackers Comics of Downers Grove favorite feline friend Nox stopped by to share some of his favorite comic titles past, present and future.
Let’s have a look at his list of 9 must reads:
9) Star Trek Lower Decks. The brand new animated STAR TREK series starring the ever popular Commander T’Ana, MD, the female feline Caitian Starfleet sciences division officer who saves the day on nearly every Cerritos away mission, now in comic book form. ALSO ASK FOR THE TRADE PAPERBACK!
8) Calvin and Hobbes Portable Compendium Sets 1 and 2 (the first 2 Volumes available) these compact pocket books collect Bill Watterson’s timeless Calvin and Hobbes comic strips in a portable format featuring nearly 500 comics starting from the strip’s debut in November 1985. These are the first 2 sets in a series of 7. Each set is a slip-cased two book set! Reread Calvin & Hobbes now at a great price and Hobbes is spectacular!
7) Animal Pound is the BOOM Studios latest comic book series from writer Tom King and artist Peter Gross. It a modern retelling of Animal Farm by way of a few caged animal pound cats and dogs who are tired of being sold off or possibly killed, so they stage an uprising. Look out HUMANS: 4 legs good, 2 legs bad!
6) The Brand New MARVEL MEOW over-sized comic book. From the house of ideas and It’s Jeff comes a multi-story, humor comic book filled with fun and adventure. This one-shot has an exclusive all-new story within its cat filled pages. It’s Cat-rific!
5) CAPTAIN GINGER. A heroic outer space drama starring cosmic human size space-cats! Check out the tales of a starship run by cats that have inherited the earth after all the humans have died. Read the Ahoy Comics’ wild space epic with artwork by STAR WARS and POWER PACK artist June Brigman!
4) CAPTAIN MARVEL. Nox likes any Carol Danvers story featuring his favorite Flerken feline, Chewie a real outer space pocket-universe kitty just along for the ride!
3) And of course there is always DC Comics’ CATWOMAN/ Marvel Comics’ BLACK CAT! Here you’ll always find pulse pounding stealthy SUPER-HEROIC action!
2) Man’s Best. A new comic book title that is not even out yet. Not just cat lovers will find this title captivating! Comic book fans of WE 3; the story of three pets; a cat, a dog and a rabbit turned into a team of deadly cyborg prototypes; should really enjoy this story, MAN’S BEST. It takes place on an unforgiving far out alien planet where a spaceship filled with humanity’s last hope is depending on three mech-suited emotional support animals!
1) Feral. Another new comic book on the horizon! This is the highly anticipated feline sequel to Tony Fleecs and Trish Forstner’s horror comic book STRAY DOGS! Without their humans to protect them, how will three indoor sheltered cats find their way home in a nightmarish world surrounded by rabies infected beasts of the darkness!?!
