JUNGLE COMICS #3 ANTARCTIC PRESS
Celebrating the 80th Anniversary of the Jungle Comics title (yes, there were serveral years of it not being publish but still) and 35 actual years of Antarctic Press publishing, this seems like a good way to do it. Many current comic readers don’t understand the joys of the anthology comics that were the mainstay of the industry 80 years ago. Large page counts with 6-8 different characters giving the most bang for your buck! While that is financially impossible these days, this title works within the limitations. As Jungle man Jo-Jo teams up with Golden Age Jungle Girl Rhula to face off against dinosaurs (which artist Preston Asevedo has a true talent in drawing. Along with the continuing adventures of Shanna, the Firehair as she teams up with Commander Astra to face a most important decision! With such people as Chuck Dixon, Benn Dunn, Steve Ross, Nick Webb, Tony Galvan, and David Hutchison at the helm, this is a hidden gem! I give it 8 out of 10 Grahams.
