SPAWN KILLS EVERYONE #2     IMAGE COMICS

Ok, this one caught me totally off guard. Not being a fan of Spawn or understanding much about the current version of the character. But the do it yourself cover made me laugh so I decided what the heck. Once inside I was equally lost but the truth is after giving up trying to figure out the details I ended up loving the parody aspect of the story. No spoilers but the way Spawn dispatches Captain America did make me laugh. Aquaman feared no better. Makes me wonder who gets it in issue 3. I give it a 10 out of 10 Grahams.

INVADERS #1     MARVEL COMICS

An interesting little take on the classic team known as the Invaders. With Namor still having issues from his visit to the Defenders title, it’s up to his old war buddies to try to help him. Cap’s flashback is gut wrenching and Jim Hammond’s Torch compassion shows that android or not, he still is a better man. With Bucky on the way and Toro nowhere in sight, we can only hope that these guys can help because this is the second series that Namor has stumbled through and I still can’t figure out what the h*ll is wrong with him. Here’s hoping for some answers and some Golden Age cameos! I give it an 8 out of 10 Grahams.

ALBERT EINSTEIN TIME MASON #4     ACTION LAB

Good old fashion time travel! With our intrepid hero in the old west, it was only a matter of time before we ran into somebody famous. And the good news is that Billy the Kid is all on board for a little adventure. Fascinating and fun, Marcus Perry and Tony Donley do a great job of entertaining the reader. I give it a 10 out of 10 Grahams.
