I would have loved to have sat in on this book’s planning session! Scott Snyder admits to have dropping easter eggs and clues for years with no one catching onto the Big Picture. All are main stay characters are here with cameos galore. As we start getting lead down a path of mystery and intrigue. Now, I will admit that I am a sucker for a mystery and Scott Snyder and James Tynion IV have definitely presented us with a buffet but I fear it maybe too much. On the one hand, I am glad to see us taking two more steps closer to the return of the DC Multiverse. Plastic Man, Mr. Terrific, Mr. Miracle! But what if this is just another Next Big Thing moment and by the time it’s all over, I’ll be left more confused than when I started? Well, for the time being, I will enjoy this little sneak peak and wait a little guarded at the future. 8 out of 10 Grahams.

Wow! Just Wow! The Allreads are on a roll! Passing though more of the Jack Kirby inspired universe, we get a great treat as Bug finds himself confused for All-Star Squadron alumni, the Red Bee and joins the heroes of WWII including one version of the Golden Age Blue Beetle! More fun than you can throw a Yeti at! 9 out of 10 Grahams.

While perhaps done better than the DC/Hanna Barbera crossovers, these specials still seem to be missing something. The idea of having the same basic storyline interpreted from both the DC angle and then from the Looney Tunes angle is clever and does highlight the differences in perception. And Marvin’s look in the DC Universe is really well done. But both of these stories deal with learning a life lesson and lack that pointless destruction and well worn classic comedic wackiness. Had this simply been an issue of the Martian Manhunter with a guest appearance by a multiverse martian who just happened to look like Marvin, I think it might have worked better and I would be right now praising the issue for remembering past comic martians instead of wishing I had gotten more looneyness as promised by the Bugs Bunny Seal. 7 out of 10 Grahams.
