THE BRITISH ARE COMING THE GRAPHIC EDITION
Put out by Penguin Random House, this is a real flashback to the education comics of the 1940’s and 1950’s. An epic retelling of the early days of the country. This is an excellent look at the subject matter from Pulitzer Prize winner Rick Atkinson. Real life historical figures from both side tell us the story of our nation. Adapted by Nora Neus and illustrated by Federico Pietrobon, this is a great sampling of the upcoming graphic edition. This reminds me of the comics they used to hand out in grade school to teach us using a medium that we as children would respond to. Is this book going to be scooped up before a Spider-Man or a DC Next Level comic? Of course not but it really should be especially by the parents of school age children. Especially since it’s free. 9 out of 10 Grahams.
ENERGON UNIVERSE IMAGE COMICS
With an image like this, I question whether I can really talk about this book? So, for the sake of the legal department, ***SPOILERS***.
A four pack of preview snippets from Image’s comic universe including MASK, Transformers, Void Rivals, and GI Joe. Featuring appearances from (who I believe to be) Ironhide, Zartan, and a member of the Cobra-La cult. Image is definitely up and running with the toylines of the 1980’s. A must have for fans and nostalgia buffs. Pick it up and discover the Classified cover! 7 out of 10 Grahams.
