GREEN LANTERN 80TH ANNIVERSARY 100 PAGE SUPER SPECTACULAR     DC COMICS

This year appears to be one when all the DC Universe charcaters are getting an anniversay super spectacular. But honestly, this book has an amazing line up of writers and artists that treat us readers to 100 pages of truly touching stories from each era of Green Lantern. From Alan Scott’s visit to the widow of a man who died in the trainwreck that started his career to Hal Jorden, Kyle Rayner, and John Stewart toasting an old comrade, these tales show us why the character of Green Lantern (no matter who is wearing the ring) is everyone’s favorite.  And with the talents of James Tynion IV, Geoff Johns, Denny O’Neil, Gary Frank, Mike Grell, and Rafa Sandoval to name a few, how could this be anything but great! I give it 9 out of 10 Grahams.

THE FUHRER AND THR TRAMP #2     SOURCE POINT PRESS

Sean McArdle and Jon Judy’s wonderfully entertaining tale of Nazi Germany’s crossing paths with the fading days of silent Hollywood is terrific! From Charlie Chaplin reviewing reports and photos from a Germany about to take a dark turn to the almost Indiana Jones like fight scene between Chaplin, Hedy Lamarr, Errol Flynn and a group of Bund soldiers is breathtaking! And Dexter Wee’s take on the look of story is a treat for the eyes. Definately, worth the price of admission. I give it 9 out of 10 Grahams.
