Every year Graham Crackers Comics participates in the national 24 Hour Comics Day Challenge. It’s a FREE event hosted at 2 of our locations that all customers are welcome to participate in!
The idea is to try and create a COMIC BOOK from scratch within a 24 hour period. Write/Draw a 24 page comic from beginning to end within 24 hours.
Push your creative abilities for better or for worse! Everyone can start working on a comic, very few actually ever finish a book. It’s too tempting to 
re-write, re-draw, change the layout, fix the expression, there’s always something that isn’t going to sit well with you and when you know you can keep changing it with no deadline, well then odds are you won’t ever finish.
Join other like minded individuals that enjoy comics and want to partake in the creation of the greatest form of entertainment on earth – comic books!
This year our DeKalb, Il store (near Northern Illinois University) and our brand new Andersonville location (formally in Edgewater) are hosting the events! We supply the space, you bring the tools and creativity! We keep the stores open for 24 hours straight from regular store opening on Saturday morning through all of Saturday night and Sunday morning so you can complete your work. Snacks will be provided as well as encouragement.
