How to store your comics safely with Rick B. – Graham Crackers Comics

How to store your comics safely with Rick B.

Even though I just want to read comics, I like to take care of my things.

This is how I personally take care of my comics.

Depending on the size of comic I use current or standard bags. I am looking for a nice snug fit, I don’t like loose fitting bags.

First check your boards for the shiny side, it goes against the comic!

Usually I like the flap on the bottom, but that is entirely up to you.

Choose next whether you want to insert board and comic together or just the board.

Keep in mind that there are a myriad of ways to do this.

Open the flap and slide in the board with comic on top.

Fold in the flap or just fold it over and tape it closed, one tiny diagonal piece will do.

Finish by placing your protected treasure upright into a comic box.

It is much better to store comics (even with boards) standing up, since they have a tendency to roll on sides.

I use short boxes since they weigh less and are easier to move around than long boxes.

Remember to keep your boxes stored in a cool dry place.

Light, heat, and moisture are your enemies.

Be safe and read comics!
