Help us help you! One of the hardest things for any retailers, even those who have rivalling super-powers is that WE CAN NOT READ YOUR MIND. 
Now granted, most us of don’t want to. Most of us just want you to have some fun money every week and have a good enough experience that you come back week after week after week and spend some of that money with us. After all our livelihoods are directly based on you spending your money here in store rather than on a video game or a new pair of thumb warmers.
From our side of the counter, every month we get up to 5 or 6 (maybe more) comic book catalog information, not to mention Magic The Gathering info, Pokémon info, new Marvel Legends, the next wave of SPAWN guys. Etc. etc. It was not the easiest back in 1999 when there was only 1 distributor of comics, 1 toy place, 1 supply place, and 1 gaming place. Not to mention only 90 new titles a week from all publishers. Now there are 79 new Marvel Comics this week. 79 different products. For Marvel alone. That is crazy. And of those 79 products we only have roughly 50% of pre-orders. The rest? Is just basically guess work on our part, based on YOUR purchasing habits. YES, YOU! YOU ARE THE REASON WE ARE HERE!!! So, if you really trust us to order 79 individual books from just one publisher, thanks for the praise, we do try our best.
For example, when you don’t ask for BEN #10 ahead of time. We have no clue. The last time Ben 10 had a comic was 13 years ago. It lasted only 4 issues and was not renewed or brought back due to POOR SALES. So, our brains said, no one asking, the last time this book came out was 13 years ago, so most of us ordered super low on a non-MARVEL or DC title. And it was a huge seller last week! Geez, I have had 3 people ask for it today but I helped out all the people that did not pre-order it last week. 99% of comic books we order have a FOC (final order cutoff) date. Once that time passes you are up to blind luck and random chance if we ordered that comic, that specific cover, or if 30 other FOMOS decide they need the Purple Disco cover of Dazzler that week. Just ask us for something. That easy.

You could be reading BEN 10 instead of this right now! (You do actually read your comics, right? Right?) We might even still have copies in Wheaton if anyone besides my 8 1/2-year-old son asked for it. Yeah, you lost out to someone that still needs to be reminded to flush the toilet.
The last few months have been littered with books,
That you could have easily gotten, gotten every cover, gotten every incentive, and most importantly got to READ! And then after READING it, you could actually think for yourself if you wanted #2. And if you asked us for #2, we would not be stuck with extra copies of #2s. Which would lead to you having to still worry about getting #3 if you actually loved that book. Wheaton has sooo many “regulars” who suddenly wanted D’ORC #1 but were out of luck. Because only 1 person in Wheaton actually asked for it months before it came out. The rest asked days, if not, day of release. That is like going to McDonalds and waiting past the Order screen, past the teller, and asking the 2nd ‘wait here’ door for a McRib. No one does that… So please ask for things you want as soon as you know. We give out monthly club adds, that have had every hard-to-get comic of the year NOT ASKED FOR. The absolutely worse thing is not to subscribe to the titles you want. It tells us you have no faith in that book or don’t really want it. So why should we waste our time, money, and shelf space ordering it, hoping, guessing, praying, that you might purchase it.
We can’t possibly do this alone. We need your help. Please.
