"Right before I read this, someone asked me, What's this Messiah CompleX thing about, anyway? And after I reset my brain due to hearing someone inexplicably pronounce an upper-case letter at the END of a word, I realized that I couldn't really explain the plot in a way that would be exciting, besides saying, It's actually a pretty good X-Men story. And after this issue, that's still all I've got. There's a baby, and Marauders, and Lady Deathstrike, and a lot of people with Xs on their clothes, and the huge return of a major character this chapter. (Might not be a surprise, depending on how much you bought this characters death, or are aware of Marvels post-CompleX plans. So, your mileage may vary.) A bunch of plots get handled in exciting ways, but the Madrox (MadroX?) and Layla plot still doesn't seem to matter, and I think only Mike Carey remembers anyone who is on the Marauders besides Gambit. Oh, and Bishop wanders in for a few panels. Hooray?" THIS BOOK GETS 7 GRAHAMS OUT OF 10 VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
