 What if? You had a genocidal monster who didn't know he was one? What if that monster was actually a warm, wonderful member of society? What if you had to work really hard to take that away from him? Yes, essentially this series is "What if Willard Scott was Goring?". There's also space based bounty hunting that is just on the cusp of seeming ridiculous. It rolls hard towards thrilling or terrified by the end of the book depending on who you're rooting for. An insanely good cross between Cowboy Bebop and the Nuremberg Trials. I give it 9 out of 10 Grahams VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
