BONUS REVIEW by John "Doc" Schaefer

One of my guilty pleasures. I have long been a fan of the Warlord of Mars novels which I stumbled across during junior high. So when Dynamite literally turned the characters into a multi title franchise, I was ecstatic. The storyline are well done, the character of Dejah Thoris is a wonderful portrayal of the strong female. And after saying all that (all true) I can't help but wonder if I would have ever picked up this book if it wasn't for a pair of brass pasties and a strip of flowing cloth held on by strings. I mean in all honesty, there was a reason why the paperback book covers from the Warlord of Mars series caught my attention all those years ago. I guess I should be happy that a) that stuff still catches my eye and b) that it helped me discover a wonder story that has lead into numerous other things.

I give it 8 out of 10 Grahams
