In a world where comic characters are owned by unfeeling, legally represented corporations, Dave Ryan and Red Anvil Comics have done what was only thought possible in the minds of fanboys world-wide. Since the very first JLA/JSA team-up, I have long been a fan of parallel universe, multiple hero team ups. From Brave and Bold to Marvel Team-Up, I've read more than my fair share. And that is why I am amazed by this book. The sheer scope of this story is mind-numbing. Let's look at just a portion of the cast. Captain Action, Mr. Monster, Faust, Too Much Coffee Man, Cerebus, Bone, Bomb Queen, Hack and Slash, The Tick, Fem-Force's Miss Victory, Madman, The Pro (YES, I SAID THE FREAKIN' PRO!), (personal favorites) Captain Canuck and E-Man, and that's just to start with...(Oh My God, it's freakin Art Clokey's Gumby and Pokey and a BLOCKHEAD!) This book is a wonderful example of what would happen if the entirety of the C2E2 Comic Convention Artist Alley all went out for drinks after the show. I hope that other artists will follow Chicago Convention Artist Favorite Franchesco and show up to do a panel or two. This could be the comic world's 'We Are The World' album.
