BONUS REVIEW by GARY OWENS

I had to check: there have been other 80-page Superman giants before. And the price: yeah, it bothered me, until I considered that this is close to 3 times as big as an average comic, but only double the price. I knew it would have a myriad of stories, and what struck me was the theme: not a current continuum book, it shows average, no-nothing days for Superman. With only one heavy hitter that appears in any of the stories, the concentration was on feel-good, with the obvious purpose to satisfy classic Superman fans, like myself. For instance, in one story Lois has a cold; in another, Clark has to wait while Lois is stuck in traffic; and yet another, a boy expects Superman to always save him. And others. After missing Superman for a long time, I found this book refreshing, and something I could give my children to read. For lovers of straight-up Superman, this is your book.
I give it 8 out of 10 Grahams
