SUPERMAN'S ODYSSEY OF SOLITUDE! After Superman is called away on a routine Justice League mission, Lois Lane awakens to find a complete stranger standing in her living room. The Man of Steel, home much sooner than expected, reveals he has, in fact, been lost in space for 20 years. Nothing and no one seem familiar to him anymore, and the timeless bond between them has been severed...or has it? Can love conquer all? Superman's 85th anniversary celebration continues with this all new blockbuster 10-issue series from the creators of the Eisner-nominated Deathstroke series!

BONUS REVIEW by John Robinson

Book starts with an eye-catching desolate looking cover, not something you see often in a Superman title. Looking back on why I enjoyed this book so much, is probably due to that one fact. Lots of feelings I did not expect. So Christopher Priest delivers a nice chapter one setting up how Superman gets lost. I'm not spoiling anything that the title and cover image doesn't already tell you. Carlo Pagulayan delivers some brilliant artwork that I can only describe as a mix between Ivan Reis & Kevin Nowlan, it looks just GREAT. If the next 9 issues can continue with this tone, I'll be pleased as punch. There's some great panels in this book that deliver this out of place feeling of despair that you don't expect in a Superman comic. Best Superman mini-series (so far with one issue) since the outstanding Superman American Alien maxi-series. Absolutely worth checking out.

I give it 9 out of 10 Grahams
