Theyre a team of death-row super villains recruited by the government to take on missions so dangerous – theyre sheer suicide! Harley Quinn! Deadshot! King Shark! Defeated and imprisoned, theyre being interrogated about their mission – and about who’s pulling the strings behind this illegal operation. Who will be the first to crack under the pressure?

BONUS REVIEW by JOHN SCHAEFER

The Suicide Squad has been around for over 40 years and has always had some fascinating characters. This incarnation (Volume 6, if I'm not mistaken) is no exception. Revised New 52 versions of favorites Deadshot and Killer Shark are back. Bat-villians Harley Quinn and Black Spider join them along with updated legacy hero El Diablo and electric based villian Voltaic. And unless Amanda Waller has lost a great deal of weight and grew big pouty lips and a desire to wear lacy brassiers for those close up Federico Dallocchio panels, that ain't the 'Wall behind the scenes. Although the family dynamic is gone, this is still an interesting book. Adam Glass's story gets us right into the nitty gritty of the team and the promise of some death (this is the 'Suicide' Squad - remember) I look forward to issue #2.
