 This is an anthology, but you don't need to worry about the anything besides what happens in the middle. Transformers fans! Come one, come all, come early, and bathe in the magnificent waters of lake Daniel Warren Johnson! NO ONE working in comics today does what DWJ does. Here, he's written and drawn what amounts to a bookend to his 'Old Man Skywalker' story. (You'll have to chase him down at a convention for that one.) If Luke's was a tale of power and redemption thru destruction, this is a story of power and destruction preventing redemption. Galactic level use of the force, aggressively drawn pages of space ships and masked men, and movement, so much movement, every d*mn panel zooming like the best manga has to offer. So, seriously, Transformers fans, you'll want to pick this up since he's writing and drawing Transformers this fall. Fans of Wonder Woman Dead Earth, Beta Ray Bill, Extremity, Do A Powerbomb and more will want to pick this up because its a 'can't miss' story from one of your favorite creators. Everyone else will want to pick it up because it finally answers the question "What would a rebel look like if he was bisected?" Star Wars fans...did you think I forgot about you? You get the best of the worst being his best at being the worst. You'll revel in it. Comic fans in general? You too. Hot d*mn. So buy it. I mean, at least read it, but maybe...buy it.
