The members of the Paradigm are held captive, helpless to prevent Modeus from manipulating Plutonian into his greatest act of evil yet. The second year of Mark Waid's epic begins a new story arc and steamrolls into uncharted waters never before seen in the superhero genre. Nothing will ever be the same in a post-Plutonian world

BONUS REVIEW by SHANNA BERRY

First I must mention that this book is an Eisner Award Nominee! Congrats Mark Waid! The focus of this issue is Bette (screwed the Plutonian and took the candle wax that temporarily turns him into a man, but was married when she did this so couldn’t tell anyone). This woman has had how many chances now to come forward with her knowledge of how to destroy Plutonian, yet kept it to herself, until recently, to shield her perfect marriage. This issue delves deeper into this and I’m glad. It adds depth to a character I was unhappy with. Anytime I feel like slipping away Waid grabs my attention by adding yet another layer and tons more action. Going back and forth between the current timeline and when it all began has given us a chance to pick up important plot pieces specifically when they affect the current story-line, and I commend Waid for this effort. This is one of the best series I have ever read.
I give it 9 out of 10 Grahams
