A big part of what I do is recommendations. People want something cool to read, and I genuinely want to help them find it. That can be trickier than it sounds, especially when it comes to the indies, where you never know what you might find. Everything is new and exciting but also strange and intimidating. How do you find something you like when there’s just so much out there and you only have so much money to spend? Well, as it turns out, the answer is to get yourself a copy of Ghost Machine.

Seriously, this book just made my job so much easier, as it has something for just about everyone in it. It’s everything a one-shot should be. For 5$, you get 64 pages of gorgeous artwork without an advertisement in sight, divided up between four well-written shorts that give the reader a taste of what’s to come from the comic book industry’s newest and perhaps most ambitious publisher. Because these guys aren’t just trying to make good books, they also want to see if they can’t make the industry a better place for creators while they’re at it, something I support wholeheartedly.

So, if you want to try something new, see something cool, support a good cause, or are just curious as to what it is I’m talking about here, check this one out. I have a feeling you’ll like what you find inside.

I give it 10 out of 10 Grahams
