Doomsday Clock #9

Doomsday Clock #9

$6.99
VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
(W) Geoff Johns
(A/CA) Gary Frank
The critically acclaimed series by master storytellers Geoff Johns and Gary Frank reaches its most shocking chapter yet when the DC Universe collides with its greatest threat: Dr. Manhattan. But nothing is hidden from Manhattan, and the secrets of the past, present and future will rock the very foundation of the DC Universe.
Date Available: 01/23/2019
BONUS REVIEW by "Doc" Schaefer

Finally, some substance, some cameos, and some interesting face offs. While Earth seems to be one step away from total chaos, the heroes of Earth fly to Mars to confront Doctor Manhattan. With cameos galore including some of the Metal Men, a spaceship full of Charlton Heroes (oh the irony!) and my personal favorite, Robby Reed in his Human Starfish persona from Dial H for Hero! We also get to see the reactions of various attacks on the big nude blue man. From the power of the Green Lanterns, to magic, to Firestorm and Captain Atom each attack has different effects and consequences. All of this provides for an interesting read. However, there is still two key points which is infuriating. First, why is Manhattan messing around with the DC Universe? And second, when did Professor Martin Stein become a total d@ck!? PS When are we gonna get the JSA back?!

I give it 8 out of 10 Grahams
