(W) Peter J. Tomasi
(A/CA) Doug Mahnke, Jaime Mendoza
Alfred Pennyworth…attacked at the Wayne mansion! Who's hunting those closest to Batman? The monstrous shadow creature plaguing Gotham City gains the upper hand when two of the Dark Knight's most ardent allies fall prey to the violent vendetta. Will those tragedies send Batman over the edge? Good thing he's on his way to Arkham Asylum-but will he investigate a murder, or get incarcerated in a padded cell?
Date Available: 01/02/2019
BONUS REVIEW by Kevin Healy

Someone is going to great lengths to do harm to Bruce Wayne, and they are doing it with all the skill of a Batman level villain. Who could it be? Possibly no one we've ever met. Possibly Hush. Possibly someone else. Whoever it is, they're fueling a story big enough to lead into Detective Comics #1000.

Written by Peter J. Tomasi (Superman, Batman and Robin) and drawn by Doug Mahnke (so many good books there are too many to name here), the mystery remains firmly on the Bruce Wayne side of things for now. If you haven't been reading, you'll get a great recap in this issue that should convince you that you want to know how this turn out. If you have been reading, you got on when everyone else should have. Good job. You get a gold star.

I give it 9 out of 10 Grahams
