Tom King's story may have many borrowed elements, but those elements are filtered through the beautiful artwork of Peter Gross. Heartbreaking tales of disparate elements looking for freedom, having more in common with each other than with their handlers, and seemingly set to fail despite their best efforts. Remember Lucky.
