BONUS REVIEW by Kevin Healy

I love Miles Morales. I've loved every version of Ultimate Spider-Man. I feel those qualifiers should be thrown into place when I say that I didn't love this. I'm not even sure I liked it. There's two big surprises this issue. One is rote and depressing, the other I don't believe. That makes me not care about 2 of the 3 hooks for this issue, and the third one (involving Mary Jane and secret identities) didn't do much for me either. In fact, as I'm typing this, on David Marquez' art really stands out, but he's no Sara Pichelli, so I'm dropping my grade from a 6 to a 4. Bendis normally works the long game in USM. Hopefully that's at play here.

I give it 4 out of 10 Grahams
