For someone who still holds Batman Year One as one of the greatest Batman comics of all time, a new origin story is hard to choke down…unless it’s written by Scott Snyder with art by Capullo. At this point in the game Snyder has a serious grasp on Bruce, and Capullo BRINGS IT with his delicate (wait, what?) yes DELICATE pencils.
Not as dark as my preferred origin story, and there will always be a few annoyances with any ret-conning issue, however I genuinely enjoyed the experience, and look forward to the future jaw-dropping reveals: because when it comes to Snyder, jaws will be falling eventually.
