BONUS REVIEW by KIRK JACKSON

If you haven’t checked out any work by Stephen King’s son, Joe Hill, Locke and Key is the perfect title to do that with. He gives us a truly original and rich story where alternately wonderful and horrible things happen to a group of teens who live in a house called Lovecraft. Everything element of this book fits with every other element like …. the perfect key for any given lock. Even the way the panels fit into each other bring to mind an almost tetris like puzzle being put together as you read. The characters are nothing like tetris pieces however, as each one is nuanced, multi-dimensional, and ever-changing. In this issue, the heroes are each attacked by their own shadow, but these aren’t just boring cookie-cutter shadow’s: each one is just as special as the person it’s trying to kill…
I give it 10 out of 10 Grahams
