Note to writers... don't have your own characters tell me that this has already happened before... Another war of the realms is happening. Again. Only this time it's really bad! Like more bad than the giant crossover 2 years ago that devastated all 10 realms? But it's different this time because death and devastation has reached all ten realms! Oh wait... but uhmm that's what was happening last time. (SHUSH!) So this time it's different because the big bad is killing everyone! Wait! That's what happened last time. (SILENCE!). See it's different because King Thor is just as sad as Thor was. (QUIET YOU!) And Odin is still a jerk to his son. (NOPE ALL NEW) And they fight and yell at each other. (WAIT. THAT DOES SOUND FAMILAR... HUH.) Once again the phenomenal Nic Klein provides amazing artwork that actually makes this retread feel new and fresh. Until. The. Last. Page. Spoilers to follow... You have been warned. (YEAH. YOU HAVE BUT IT IS SO DUMB. SO SO SO DUMB. LIKE THE PHOENIX BEING THOR'S MOM DUMB? YEP. MAYBE EVEN WORSE.) Easily the least impressive speculator first appearance design since a big black cloud. No strike that. Easily the worst speculator first appearance design since Superman Red/ Superman Blue Special #1. I haven't been this disgruntled about Thor since Bruce Zick. Oh well. At least I get 4 weeks to forget about this until next issue. At least this is a speculator book and you won't be able to read it... unless you use our terrific pull & hold club! Then you have your copy. To read. Because reading comics is fun!
