It's a new day in Gotham City, but not the same old Batman. With Bane vanquished and one of his longtime allies gone, Batman has to start picking up the pieces and stepping up his game. Batman has a new plan for Gotham City, but he's not the only one. Deathstroke has returned as well, under a mysterious new contract that could change everything. Beginning a whole new chapter in the life of the Dark Knight, the epic art team of Tony S. Daniel and Danny Miki are joined by new series writer James Tynion IV!

BONUS REVIEW by Rick Berg

Now... begins the post Tom King era for the Dark Knight, welcome James Tynion IV. Mr. the IV seemingly got the memo that Mr. King's super slow paced non linear storyline was not wanted anymore. A ton of stuff happens in this issue including but not limited to a super villain team-up, a Deathstroke appearance, super Grant Morrisonesque Batman planning, a new Batplane, a few murders, Catwoman, and a new "mystery villain" plan unfolds... Then... Tony Daniel draws Batman again again again for the next time. He's a descent Batman artist but I've seen this before too many times and for the fresh start from such a beleaguered title I was hoping for someone as different as Tynion is to King for the visuals. That style change is coming soon but not soon enough.

I give it 7 out of 10 Grahams
