Date Available: 6/18/2014
BONUS REVIEW by John "Doc" Schaefer

I could rave about the various art styles on display or rant about the highly imaginative stories enclosed within this Annual Size Super Giant comic. But the truth is that, for me, it all comes down to one word. And that word is found on page 46, panel 6. That word is "vootie". What is so special about this one word that makes it stand head and shoulders above the rest of the 48 pages? Vootie originated in 1955 in a Mad Magazine parody where Dave Garroway's (the original host of the Today tv show)chimp (J. Fred Muggs - who also painted a cover for Mad) takes over the show. Instead of Dave's signoff, "Peace", the monkey said "Vootie". (It can also be found in the comic book Nexus by Mike Baron and Steve Rude.) Bless you all at United Plankton Pictures Publishing for remembering that one word!

I give it 10 out of 10 Grahams
