BONUS REVIEW by Kirk Jackson

YES! Just… Yes. This is exactly what I was waiting for! Well, not exactly, since what I really have been waiting for are new tv episodes, but this honestly is the next best thing! Zack Whedon knows these characters and knows what their voices should sound like. He also knows what “issues” we want to see resolved since the end of the final movie, and he wastes no time in getting to it. Don’t worry though, the problems that don’t have easy answers are gonna be around for a while. As usual, nothing quite goes according to plan, for this crew and not all is shiny. (plus Jayne’s still around to Gun HOE-tze bee DIO-se!) The only thing that stops me from giving this book a perfect rating is the inconsistency of the art. Simply put, sometimes the characters look like the actors who played them, and sometimes they don’t. In the end however, this didn’t detract from my overall enjoyment of the book. Here’s hoping for another mini-series after this one!

I give it 8 out of 10 Grahams
