 Welcome back to 2006. Or 1986. Or even 1962. You see Flash Gordon, Mandrake the Magician, and Flash Gordon have been around forever. Everybody under the son has hand their hands on these characters. The fact is that these three characters are some of the first heroes to appear. Newspaper strips, comics, television, and of course movies (Flash...Ahhhahhh...dumdumdum). This latest incarnation is off to a great start. In this modern incarnation, the differences help to round out the story instead of just offending old time fans. Dale hasn't met Flash yet. Lothar is paired up with the Phantom initially but it all makes sense. The best part is that while waiting for issue 2, I can plop in the old Defenders of the Earth cartoon and relive some of those past incarnations. I give it 10 out of 10 Grahams VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
