What brought Godzilla to Hell? A glimpse of Godzillas greatest battle gives clues-but what will happen when Godzilla faces a rematch with that same foe in the underworld?
Date Available: 09/30/2015
BONUS REVIEW by Kevin Healy

I thought the obstacles in the first two issues of Godzilla in Hell were pretty clear. This one doesn't have that clarity. My best interpretation of the events is that Godzilla is able to defeat God before moving on to the next level of Hell. Angels are presented as Mothra-winged cultists trying to fill Godzilla from the inside or keep the minions of Hell from doing the same. In the end, Godzilla has no use for either God, the Devil, Space Godzilla, or the acolytes of both Heaven and Hell. I did mention Space Godzilla, right?

While the story may be downright befuddling, the art by Buster Moody is quite nice. Detailed line work mixed w/ heavy black inks gives it a feel somewhere in the James Stokoe family w/out being a direct descendant. On the whole, without bringing theology into it, this is an odd odd book.

I give it 6 out of 10 Grahams
