 This is ostensibly the story of Cain, creator of murder, unable to die after killing his brother Abel. You know, that story from the bible. Its pretty easy to have access to a bible, so I hate to get all literal when it comes to interpreting a work of religious importance, but I have no doubt that if anything that takes place in the bible is real that the authors did not remove all of the modern day profanity that was secretly used during those events. This book didn't work for me. It feels desperate in its efforts to be offensive. What's the end game going to be here? The flood? Fine, but these people clearly deserve to be wiped off the earth, so who cares? Are we really learning anything new about theology, biblical context, religious hypocrisy, or magic barbarian giants that were never actually a thing so why don't we just have the magic rock friends from the movie Noah too? Based on this issue, we're all better off with Preacher for sacrilicious delights. Again, that's PREACHER. Ask for it by name, be ready to have your beliefs challenged whatever they might be, and pass on this. I give it 5 out of 10 Grahams VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
