Terrors of the deep! A horrifying lost city has risen at the bottom of the ocean, and Aquaman must call on the supernatural might of Etrigan, the Demon to stand between humanity and the dark menace that lurks inside that forgotten realm! It’s an undersea chiller like no other!

Brave and the Bold has been an enjoyable book since Straczynski and Saiz took over although it seems to be sadly overlooked by most. Each issue is a one-shot, and this a great place to get a taste of what JMS will be bringing to Wonder Woman and Superman later this year. Upon first glance, Aquaman and the Demon, Etrigan, might seem like a strange team-up, but when the big bad is a hellish monster attempting to rise from the deep it makes perfect sense. JMS writes Aquaman well, taking him seriously, and makes me look forward to seeing more of the character in Brightest Day. Also, Etrigan's poetic dialogue is always fun to read. Despite being a bit burnt out by the rising undead in the DCU, I enjoyed this ish a lot.
I give it 8 out of 10 Grahams
