Written by GREG PAK Pencils by LEONARD KIRK Cover JIMMY CHEUNG
The puny humans hate the Warbound, the savage alien monsters who joined the Hulk in his quest for vengeance against the heroes of Earth. But when new horrors arise in the New Mexico desert, the puny humans might just learn that a savage alien monster or two can be pretty handy in a pinch. What is Gammaworld? Which deadly enemy from the Hulk's past has returned? And who here dares to learn what it is to be Warbound, in life and death, whatever may come?
"It’s a great idea to do a book about the continuing adventures of the Warbound. Too bad that’s not really what this is. No, this is ‘The Adventures of SHIELD Agent Kate Waynesboro featuring The Warbound’. And if you’re not as instantly enthralled by SHIELD Agent Kate Waynesboro as Greg Pak assumes you’ll be, prepare for an unfulfilling experience. It’s disappointing that Pak lacked the confidence in characters he’s spent TWO YEARS building up, enough that he’d sideline them in their own comic to give us the point-of-view of a fairly standard ‘SHIELD Agent with a heart of gold’. Hey, I don’t think I’m being unreasonable when I want a Warbound comic to, and maybe this is crazy, STAR the Warbound. Give me that, and we don’t have a problem anymore."
