Leslie is a simple pig girl. She loves sushi, she's stuck with a job she hates, and she lives under a brutal totalitarian government-one that punishes transgressors for anything deemed 'unnatural.' Leslie dreams of something different for herself. But those dreams are becoming dangerous... This Italian hit series by MIRKA ANDOLFO (Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn, DC Comics Bombshells) will transport you into a colorful but terrible world-full of anthropomorphic creatures, but light on personal freedoms-by way of a breathtaking plot that travels between thriller and fantasy, with a hint of sensuality.

If there's a number line for comics that involve people with animal heads (or conversely, animals with human bodies), 0 might be ,um, Critters I guess. 10 would probably be the Pulitzer Prize winning Maus. This title would probably land somewhere near a 7. While there are some saucy bits, the point of the book seems to be a world where the Government is far too interested in what consenting anthropomorphs do behind closed doors. Basically, it's a Libertarian nightmare wrapped up in a little piggy tail. It won't be for everybody, but there's more going on than a quick perusal would reveal. Highly recommended for those who enjoy attending certain, more "niche" conventions, fans of Omaha the Cat Dancer, and anybody who doesn't trust those Revenuers comin' to take what's yours, 'specially if it's you.

I give it 7 out of 10 Grahams
