Ultimate Nick Fury looks different. Very little Sam, and considerably less Jackson. It's a bit perplexing, because there SHOULD be a recognizable Nick Fury running around, right? I guess we'll throw that into the quesiton bin for Jonathan Hickman.
This issue is intended to answer different questions- who is working for the Maker, and why? Achievement unlocked! Pass go, collect $200.00. While it is disconcerting seeing well known faces being so very unpleasant, unlikable, and downright unhealthy, it's also freeing.
This could have been done as a standalone Ultimates issue, but works nicely as a parallel track to that title. Two stories, some interesting Russian tidbits in the first, following with a first appearance of Ultimate Winter Soldier. Much like Nick, he might look differently than you remember. You'll be clawing for more by the end of that tale.
