VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
Written by Kelley Puckett Art and cover by Drew Johnson & Ray Snyder
Supergirl's battle with Neutron explodes out onto the streets of Metropolis, and Neutron doesn't care what happens to innocents! And as civilians fall, Supergirl makes a vow so impossible and startling, even Superman doubts she can keep her word!

"It’s great that, despite being a fairly unloved title, constantly at risk of cancellation, Kelley Puckett writes Supergirl like he’s got three years to tell his story. That’s gutsy. Maybe if he realized that he probably has about four more months before this title gets retooled again (or outright cancelled) he’d try to make this thing a little more compelling, or failing that, a little more cohesive. I still don’t know where he’s going with this, but I’ll keep reading. There’s always a few pages every issue (never the ones horribly drawn by Lee Ferguson) that reminds me of the optimism I had when I heard Puckett and Drew Johnson were taking this book over. I just wish the rest of each warranted that optimism."
