Punisher Soviet #1

$5.99
VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
(W) Garth Ennis
(A) Jacen Burrows
(CA) Paolo Rivera
Garth Ennis (Co-Creator of The Boys & Preacher) is back at Marvel and writing the Punisher again, this time with art phenom Jacen Burrows (MOON KNIGHT, 303, Crossed) at his side. A dozen Russian mobsters lie dead at the Punisher's feet and he wasn't the one whpulled the trigger. If you know Frank Castle, you know this doesn't necessarily set his mind at ease. Whis in New York City decimating the Russian mob and can it be long before they come intconflict with Frank? Rated MAX

BONUS REVIEW by Shawn

This mini-series is a long way from the more recent War Machine/Fantasy-slaughtering fare. Written by Garth Ennis with terrific art from Jacen Burrows (You know he's good when he's on Alan Moore's short list), this is as wet and messy as a Punisher Max fan could want. Highly recommended for those who appreciate Russians who favor a more hands-on than electronic approach, and fans of Circle of Blood...and intestines, and spleens, and shredded kidneys, blown out eyeballs, and plastique.

I give it 9 out of 10 Grahams
