VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
Written by Charles Soule & Various Art by Various Cover by Mark Brooks The INHUMANS! The YOUNG AVENGERS confront THE HOOD! And J. Jonah Jameson's ORIGINAL SIN revealed! Date Available: 7/9/2014
BONUS REVIEW by Gavin Rehfeldt
Being completely out of the loop on the death of the Watcher and the collateral damage it has caused the Marvel Universe, I did not pick this up to embrace the Marvel event. What brought me to Sins: I cannot resist picking up a book with art by Chicago-based artist Ryan Browne, and he continues to impress. That being said, his and Soule’s lead story is a fine one-off that gave me insight into the Inhumans and the mess that the Watcher’s death has caused. Pick up Browne’s forthcoming Image series God Hates Astronauts to see more of his incredible storytelling talent! Good times. The backup multi-part Young Avengers story is amusing, with beautiful art from Jordan Gibson. It is pleasing to see Marvel deepening their engagement with an indie comics approach already served up in their recent lineup, including the recent Hawkeye solo title and the Gillen-scribed Young Avengers. We even get some light blue gutter commentary in the backup a la the Adventure Time comics. I give it 7 out of 10 Grahams VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
