Mighty Thor #1 (2015)

$16.99
VERY FINE/NEAR MINT
(W) Jason Aaron
(A/CA) Russell Dauterman
When DR. JANE FOSTER lifts the mystic hammer Mjolnir, she is transformed into the Goddess of Thunder, THE MIGHTY THOR! Her enemies are many, as Asgard descends further into chaos and war threatens to spread throughout the Ten Realms. Yet her greatest battle will be against a far more personal foe: the cancer that is killing her mortal form. Rated T+
Date Available: 11/18/2015
BONUS REVIEW by Kevin Healy

Mighty Thor picks up exactly where Mighty Thor ended. Roxxon is a bad corporation, run by a minotaur who is conspiring with all manner of nasty folk to kill Thor. I like all that. I'm on board. The material dealing with Jane's cancer is fantastic and draining. The rest just isn't as interesting as Jason Aaron's multi time-stream run on Mighty Thor volume one. The best thing it has going for it is the cleaner than clean artwork by Russell Dauterman. The open spaces, line weight, and contours are all magic...magic I tell you! Look at that gatefold cover and tell me I'm wrong.

I give it 7 out of 10 Grahams
