In this special Lone Ranger and Tonto adventure, something dark and murderous is moving through the frontier, and it's up to The Lone Ranger and Tonto to put a stop to it. But once they find it, will they be able to face it? This 32 page one-shot is a great jumping on point for new fans/readers as well as an excellent companion issue to Dynamite's Eisner-Award Nominated Series!
REVIEW by BRIAN FISHER
I've heard good things about Dynamite's Lone Ranger series, but admittedly have not read any of it. I figure that with a new title and new number one I'd give it a shot. And you know what, I'm glad I did. This was a great done-in-one story featuring the dynamic duo of the old west. LR and his partner stumble across a ransacked coach and two dead bodies and find one survivor, a boy who holds a very disturbing secret. It's a thinly veiled snipe at modern child rearing and the death penalty, but it's a well written, well drawn and all-around well executed snipe. This may just get me to read the trade.
I give it 7 out of 10 Grahams
