This is the most grounded and intimate Secret Wars tie-ins to come out thus far: we follow the remnants of a family after their planet - presumably Earth - was devastated by giant insects. The wife/mother character left to join the Nova Corps. in space to fight the aliens, and we're brought into the tension that has created between her father, her husband, and her kids. The book reads like a zombie book, as we're shown a world of strife, suffering, and fear. The art is gorgeous and the story ties in with a larger plot involving Thanos and - obviously - Infinity Stones. I'm interested in seeing how this family drama will evolve into the galactic event that the original was.
