To write this review, I had to get to work first. I took a left on Graham Blvd, knowing that traffic on Robinson Ln would be backed up all the way to Wall St. From there, I made a misstep, turned right on Weick Parkway, leaving me in a cul-de-sac of errors, because the roads were closed at Berg and Pierce for construction. Navigating backwards, I found myself on Lipe Lane for what seemed like three miles, hard left onto Brozman, soft left onto Geier, hitting another unexpected delay when traffic went down to one lane just before Spurlock. I wasn't in 'ell, but on Elle when that lady decided to step out before the crosswalk signal changed, leaving me with no choice but to park at the corner of Seib and Krieger.
"Would Tom King overuse the street name/creator trick again?" I wondered. There was no way to know, but I guess he might use it the most out of any writer in this single issue. No way to know if his otherwise excellent tale of a clean Gotham turning dirty, with the best Phil Hester art in YEARS would continue to be marred by such a contrivance.
Just no way.
