Olive's had some problems recently, but amnesia pales beside a school that's haunted by ghosts, secret societies, and bats. How bad can it be, showing her ex's kid sister the ropes? How about when another prominent member of Gotham's elite shows up, and she has to deal with Damian Wayne? Becky Cloonan, Brenden Fletcher, and Karl Kerschl welcome you back to school in this volume that collects GOTHAM ACADEMY #1-18 and GOTHAM ACADEMY ANNUAL #1!

I have to admit first of all, I am a sucker for "silly" comics about heroes I love. Spidey Loves Mary Jane, Batman Adventures, Peter David's old school Young Justice? I loved them all. The art was always great. The stories fun, albeit somewhat lighthearted, most of the time. It just felt like something I'd always make the time to read. And that was the 1st impression I had when opening Gotham Academy. Karl Kerschl's art is fantastic. The story by Becky Cloonan starts off somewhere between mystery and sci-fi. Our 2 new "leads" are fresh to batman readers as well. I hope that this book will try to maintain an all ages/creepy vibe that it supplies in #1. And as of right now, it's a book I will reccomend for readers of ages 10-100. It's a great new story and I look forward to the next issue.

I give it 9 out of 10 Grahams
