Reviews

Having not read Benjamin Percy’s previous installment of Ghost Rider, I was unsure if I was going to enjoy this series. I am happy to report that this series is great. Seeing the Hood use the Spirit of Vengeance for his own criminal gain is a delight and complete subversion of what you’d expect from a Ghost Rider series. Plus, he has an army of vampires to do his bidding, how could you not like the sound of that?!? The intermittent shifts from the Hood’s POV to Johnny Blaze’s is neat as well, though it seems Johnny will be taking back the mantle of Ghost Rider pretty soon, which makes me a little sad, but hey, enjoy your superpowered criminal kingpin while it lasts, I suppose. The art isn’t my favorite, but it certainly gets the job done, with the extreme violence being a highlight of newcomer Danny Kim’s work. I have the utmost confidence in Ben, Danny & crew that they’ll keep this flaming motorcycle ride of a series going.
