Hey hey, I’m back. I’ve escaped from the dungeon where I was being kept to bring you up to speed on the latest escapades from my favorite studio, and one of my favorite series.

If you haven’t been reading Geiger, this issue is a good place to start as the series takes a moment to breathe between story arcs and characters stop to take stock of their increasingly deteriorating situation. It’s a good issue; indeed, my only mark against it is that regular artist Gary Frank did not draw it, which can be off-putting considering his distinct visual style if often key to selling the dry post-apocalyptic grit the series thrives on. That’s not to say the art in the issue is bad, far from it in fact as I was pleasantly surprised by the work on display, but when you’ve got the best, anything else is bound to feel like a downgrade on some level. Nevertheless, I recommend this hardily.
