Reviews
Hard to believe it’s been 25 issues since I first held this review section captive to rave about this book. Okay technically, it’s actually been longer, since there were six issues, a two-part miniseries, and an 80-page special before Ghost Machine officially came into being, but the point stands. We’re 25 issues into this run, you’re probably wondering how it’s going.
The answer is pretty good. In fact, I’m probably more jazzed about Ghost Machine’s output at large the moment than I have been at any point since it launched, but focusing in on why Geiger is still going strong for me, the fact is that our main character is a man defined by anger and grief, who feels he’s lost everything, trying to find meaning and make a difference in a world that went insane. These are feelings that, while not one-to-one comparisons, I’m personally well acquainted with. So too, I suspect, is Geoff Johns.
If that kind of story resonates with you, and you want to see it rendered in masterful detail by the incomparable Gary Frank, I highly suggest you check this book out. It’s genuinely worth your time.
