I already own this comic but reviewing it for FCBD gave me an excuse to read it again. It is just that good. I never expected to read, let alone enjoy an Archie comic but here I am, rooting for Archie and Betty to get back together. They're my OTP. That's "One True Paring" for the 35 and over crowd. If you read Saga like I do, you know that Fiona Staples art is gorgeous and this issue is no exception. She makes the high schoolers of Riverdale look like the cast of a CW show. Waid effortlessly introduces a cast of characters and Archie's life and romantic struggles. Archie #1 also spoke to my millennial sensibilities by encouraging me to tweet him with #LipStickIncident. It'll make sense when you read it.
I give it 10 out of 10 Grahams
